JR began his insurance career with New York Life in January, 1994. He quickly developed his client base and within 6 months, began working almost exclusively with referrals. Within 5 years, JR’s expertise had grown beyond what New York Life’s products offered. He opened his own small business, as a Health Insurance Broker, in 1999.

In addition to helping business owners with their life insurance and disability insurance protection, JR began helping businesses with their employer-sponsored health insurance plans. He developed appointments with all of the local carriers, so that his clients would have a number of choices. He began studying for his Registered Health Underwriter degree and completed it in 2004. He quickly earned his Registered Employee Benefit Consultant degree in 2005.

Since 1994, JR has helped small businesses design and maintain benefits plans to help them attract and retain quality employees. He knows the needs of small businesses. He stands apart in his educational and consultative approach to designing a program that is unique to the needs of your business and your employees. Health insurance is very complicated, but JR will simplify it and make sure that you and your employees understand your plan in order to maximize its value.
